I’ve upgraded to Dasblog and have came to the same realization as my friend Omar. 

The spammers have won
Trackbacks and referrers are now the domain of disgusting text.
A feature of blogs which was once useful is now ruined.

All to build great Google page rank for their “service”.

I’ve removed trackbacks and referrers from my template.  In  their place I now have a link below each post labelled Other blogs commenting on this post.  Selecting this will take you to a bloglines citations query that shows you if anyon has linked to the post.

Lame.
