Mikes Adobe Illustrator Weekend Project

On the weekends some people like to play sports, others like to go hiking, but Mike a Technical Evangelist on my team prefers to code. You see it was just a few Fridays ago, Mike and I were chatting about how cool it would be to have a plug-in for Adobe Illustrator that allowed you to export your illustrations as XAML.

The following Monday morning Mike was emailing me XAML files originally created in Adobe llustrator and I was loading them into Chris Anderson’s XAMLPad.

Check out a video we published today on Channel 9 where Mike demonstrates the plug-in, (be sure to watch the demo all the way through it builds on itself), visit Mikes blog where he links to the download, and finally if you just want to see shiny pictures check out his eye candy page. Here’s your chance to unleash the power of Avalon! If you make something cool with it, please add it to the Channel 9 Sandbox.

Now of course, if you’re hungry for a lot more, you better signup soon for PDC05, we’re just getting rolling!

Reason #343 I work at Microsoft Joel: Mike Swanson.
