Fred Vogelstein – An Exercise In Radical Transparency

Wired Magazine interviewer interview

Should Fred go to Mix?

If you remember a little while back my team and I were part of an experiment in radical transparency with Wired Magazine.  Today begins part two of that same experiment.  It turns out that Fred Vogelstein was slow in registering for the Mix Event that we’re holding in Las Vegas next week, we’re sold out and last weekend he asked if we could find a spot for him.

We thought in the spirit of radical transparency, we’d open it up to the community, help us decide:

Fred Vogelstein, the Wired reporter who recently wrote about Channel 9, was a little slow registering for MIX.  The event is completely sold out and there is a waiting list.  Normally, we reserve some slots for reporters but this late in the game we have no more press slots.  Fred has asked if we can find a way to get him into MIX.  Wired is big on Radical Transparency so we thought we’d give it a try and let the community decide.  Should we let Fred in?  Is there anything Fred could do for the Channel 9 community?  Please reply to this thread with your suggestions – remember MIX is in Las Vegas.

Mix is shaping up to be a great event, make sure you follow along if you are at home, visit the blogging lounge and of course sign up for the Twitter group.

See you in Vegas!

Postscript:  Thanks for the flow and commentary on this. ;-)   Mix is full, the big question is,”Should Fred move in front of the line, ahead of a Developer customer?”
