Hey with all the changes going on and the Channel 9 Team coming back over to my group I bet many of you want to join in the fun! Yup, you heard right our team is growing and I’ve got a couple of open positions to fill.

In my opinion the Developer and Platform Evangelism Group is the only place to work in Microsoft. If you’re already employed at Microsoft and are even considering making a career change, take a peak at the positions I have available below, and if one of them is your dream job send me a note and we should get together for a quick informational.

You know one of the beauties of working at Microsoft is all the opportunities. Anyone can do an informational, in fact I encourage my team to do so. Its a great way to make contacts, learn what others teams are doing and see what is out there for opportunities.

So what am I selling?

Technical Evangelist
The first job is an online technical evangelist to join the Channel 9 team. In the past year the site has grown in both traffic and content. As a result we are looking for another unique individual who has both the passion, the knowledge, and the skills to help us tell the Microsoft story online using video.

We are looking for a rare bird for a new kind of evangelism role at Microsoft. The ideal candidate will be well versed in the current wave of Microsoft developer technologies, industry trends, and competition. Experience in software development is preferred but not required. Strong digital video filming, editing, and compression skills are required as the team shoots, edits, and produces its own video on site.

You would be a member of a small team responsible for the care and feeding of this unique community. An active passion for connecting with customers and sharing your passion for Microsoft products is required. Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills are required. Roles and responsibilities change quickly so flexibility and fast decision making abilities are a must. Experience with blogging, wikis, and social software technologies a plus.

Software Design Engineer
The next job is as a software design engineer to join the Channel 9 team. With the site growing we are looking for another software developer to come join the team. We are looking for someone who lives and breaths ASP.NET, SQL, Windows Forms, .NET and loves to code!

Do you like to ship, takes chances and effect change?
Can you work independently and pride yourself in the ability to get things done?

Then come join our team where you’ll find a small dynamic team of folks and you’ll swear you were part of startup. In addition to writing code, you’ll have the chance to play a part in creating video and participating in a number of Evangelism activities.
