Is Amazon opening up a grocery service?
I spotted this interesting truck today in Bellevue, Washington.
I sure hope they are opening a grocery service. Our family loved the now defunct HomeGrocer.com service from the late 90s. We were "beta testers" and used it as our only grocery service for quite some time.
The services Safeway and Albertsons have opened just don’t compare to what was Home Grocer.
Anyone have a link to Amazon Fresh or a beta invite?

Postscript: It is true. Amazon is opening up a grocery service. Doug Herrington, an executive from Amazon sent me an email last night confirming the service.
Amazon is currently conducting pilots on Mercer Island and in some Seattle neighborhoods. They will expand that soon to more areas and he’ll work to get our family in the next wave (if we fit in the service areas).
Cool!
You can also read more on Tech Crunch on the service.
