As they say on Slashdot.org :->
1. Write some Cool Software using Visual Studio 2005.
2. Incorporate the Shareware Starter Kit
3. Sell the software
4. Profit
The Shareware starter kit is something Michael Lehman, myself and Dan Fernandez partnered on this year. Right now there are Visual Basic and C# versions, and a C++ version is on its way.
The Starter Kit is a set of classes that you can easily incorporate into your .NET Framework 2.0 application that gives you a splash screen, payment via PayPal, Product Activation, Product Registration, Event/Error Reporting, and Product Feedback.
Dan walks you through the starter kit (with screenshots and sample code) over on his blog, we're having a contest over on Channel 9 for folks who want to play with a beta of the starter kit to win a free ticket to the PDC and finally for those of you attending the Shareware Industry Conference this week Dan and Michael will be delivering a session on the starter kit.
Let us know what you think, we're really looking for your feedback on how we can do great things for the MicroISV.
